Although Monday night's first Britain's Got Talent live final was supposed to be about the contestants, it was the judges who turned heads. 

Amanda Holden, 44, went for full on wow factor in a dramatically plunging dress which left very little to the imagination. 

The gown, which was also cut to show off almost every inch of the judge's long toned legs, was one of the talking points of the night. 

Amanda wore her hair loose around her shoulders and chose a pair of black sandals but the clear focus of the dress was to show off her incredible body, which it did with aplomb. 

The mother of two knew she looked good, holding her dress out in order to show off her toned limbs and flashing a huge smile as she greeted the crowd. 

But Amanda had some competition in the form of fellow judge Alesha Dixon, 36, who looked equally sensational, although in a very different way. 

Alesha opted for a bondage-inspired PVC dress which flattered her slim figure. 

With her hair pulled back into a high ponytail, it was a winning look for Alesha. 

Meanwhile, after  seeing hundreds of amazing and shocking acts at auditions held around the country, judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha and Amanda managed to whittle them down to just 45.

And on Monday night, things got even more interesting. 

Stepping out with a Guinness World Record adjudicator was Cally the Wonderdog and her owner Mitch, who pulled out all the stops to make history. 

The adorable Jack Russell successfully managed to break a world record for a dog popping balloons, in this case 42 balloons in 60 seconds.

‘I am so proud of what she did,’ an elated Simon said. ‘She is a world champion. What you may not know is if she makes it through to the final is the previous world record holder’s has agreed to come across from America to have a balloon off. She did amazing!’

‘We witnessed history tonight,’ added David. ‘It’s strangely quite compelling to watch a dog burst balloons.’

‘That was so exciting. It’s why I love this show for moments like that. Cally you are a legend,’ said Alesha, while Amanda claimed, ‘That was barking mad, as David said we are part of television history tonight.’ 

Opening the show was Alesha’s Golden Buzzer, East-London based Entity Allstars, the young dance troupe with big ambitions to win the hit ITV1 show.

And it was X Factor star Lauren Platt's younger brother, Lewis, who stood out from the troupe, which also consisted his friends, all aged between 10-15.

Their lively performance which carried out a Harry Potter theme throughout consisted of the young hopefuls clad in school uniform while displaying their show-stopping moves.

An impressed and proud Alesha said: ‘You kicked off the live shows in style, people are always harping on about how boring dance acts are. But with the harry potter theme you killed it. You absolutely smashed it!

Eva Longoria looked effortlessly stylish as she stepped out for a spot of shopping in Cannes on Saturday.

The Desperate Housewives star looked fresh-faced as she showed off her tanned arms and legs in a flowing cream dress teamed with nude peep toe heels .

She was seen soaking up the sun on the balcony of the Martinez hotel - a long-established Cannes Festival favourite with celebrities - before donning large sunglasses as she headed out.

Completing her casual ensemble, the star wore her dark tresses in a high bun and as expected for the L'Oreal spokesmodel, boasted flawless makeup. 

As she walked through the seaside town, she was spotted posing for a selfie with a young fan before emerging from Gerard Darel with a shopping bag.

The 40-year-old actress jetted into town for her first red carpet appearance of the 68th Cannes International Film Festival on Thursday evening. 

Eva wowed in a metallic figure hugging gown Georges Hobeika that made the most of her petite and curvy frame which featured a deep plunging neckline. 

Taking to the spotlight at the Cannes Film Festival Global Gift Gala, she wore her long locks loose and swept back from her face to show off her features as she opted for dark eyeliner and nude lips.

And on Friday afternoon after a long lie-in, Eva enjoyed a stroll along the Promenade de la Croisette.

She dressed down for her trip, cutting a sporty figure in a casual outfit and took to Instagram to show off her incredible view from her hotel room.

She captioned the shot: 'Bonjour Cannes! Good morning Cannes! (Yes I just woke up) Gorgeous day!' 

Adding a few hashtags to the upload, she continued: '#Cannes2015 #Lorealista #BecauseWeCannes'.

Gwyneth Paltrow was on hand to support her mother Blythe Danner, who has just made her film debut as a leading lady after five decades as an actress.

Gwyneth, 42, joined Blythe, 72, at the premiere of her new film, I'll See You In My Dreams, in West Hollywood on Thursday.

The Shakespeare In Love star showed off her long legs in a white turtleneck Creatures of the Wind mini-dress as she stood tall in simple elegant black heels.

Will & Grace star Blythe rocked an eye-catching look, including a zebra striped blouse paired with a long full skirt featuring a giant floral print.

The ladies also posed with Blythe's co-star and on-screen lover, Sam Elliot, 70.

I'll See You In My Dreams, which was Kickstarter funded, premieres on May 15th and first played in the festival circuit.

Blythe stars as Carol, a widow and former songstress who discovers that life can begin anew at any age as she begins to date again. Malin Akerman plays her daughter.

Blythe said she really identifies with Carol, especially since her husband and Gwyneth's father, Bruce Paltrow, passed away almost 13 years ago. 

'After Bruce died, I thought, "Oh God, what now?"' she told Entertainment Weekly. 'But I'm motivated to keep myself open to possibilities. I don't want to close in.'

Blythe explained why she's shied away from leading lady roles unlike her famous daughter.

'I used to be very self-conscious,' she said. 'I've always felt much more comfortable in company situations, and that's how I began.

'I always wanted to be a good actress working with great people and doing work I wasn't ashamed of.'

In playing Carol, Blythe got to come out of her shell a bit, shooting scenes in which her character smokes marijuana and sings jazz.

'I was never a big pot smoker—it always made me anti-social,' Blythe said.

She added of jazz: 'That was actually my first love. I wanted to sing jazz more than I wanted to act.'
