Find the fashion trends at Emmys Red Carpet

Awards show red carpets are prime fashion trend-spotting grounds, and the 2014 Emmys were no exception. Hollywood was trending all over the place -- from the thigh-high slits and major metallics, to quite possibly the most red we've ever seen on a red carpet, we loved every second of it. While it's not every day that most of us don a formal, red carpet-ready dress, there's a lot of inspiration to be had? from celebrity dresses at awards show. We chose four prime examples of Emmys red carpet trends we'll be replicating this fall, and broke them down for you here. Our favorite trends are as follows:

4 major fashion trends spotted on the Emmys red carpet

STARK WHITE: OK, so seeing crisp, clean white wasn't a huge surprise, considering we've been talking about it all summer. The Emmys red carpet only confirmed that the trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon. No white after Labor Day? Not anymore!

RED: We can't recall a time when we've seen this much red on a red carpet. Everyone from January Jones in Prabal Gurung, to Claire Danes in a stunningly pretty lace Givenchy, was down with the bold hue. Take note: You'll be seeing plenty of red this fall.

ORNATE EMBELLISHMENTS: These were the prettiest dresses that really stood out to us at the Emmys. From Kerry Washington's crystal-lined Prada, to Julia Roberts's super-heavy-looking but gorgeous Givenchy dress, several stars were rocking the flair. You can except to see embellishments, especially pretty bejeweled ones, popping up on everything from shirts, to skirts, to shoes this fall.

HALTER NECKLINES: While there were plenty of plunging deep v-necks at both the Emmys and this week's VMAs, we're really loving the halter neckline right now. Michelle Dockery, Lizzy Caplan, and Taylor Schilling all wore halter styles that screaming sexiness and sophistication.
