She's in the midst of the Hollywood awards season, and was recently awarded a Critics' Choice Movie Award for her role in action thriller Edge of Tomorrow.

But Emily Blunt took time out from her busy schedule to show her face at a party celebrating IWC watches in Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday.

The British actress looked stunning in her demure navy blue dress with a flared, A-line skirt as she posed at the swanky party.

The 31-year-old's dress was cut to flatter her slim and shapely figure, the waist cut in to emphasise her slender torso, as the skirt fell down and out to her knees.

The buttoned-up and high-collared neckline on the garment might have been dowdy on others, but on Emily it worked well, adding just the right amount of daytime chic to her ensemble.

She offset the deep blue shade of her textured frock with a pair of towering black, strappy sandals, and a chunky watch on her wrist.

And, keeping it simple yet classy, she styled her brown-blonde hair in loose waves in a half-up, half-down 'do as her face remained mostly natural in minimal, glossy make-up.

Emily had landed in London on Monday after spending time over in Los Angeles for the start of awards season - which has also seen her get a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Into The Woods - but she didn't stick around in for long before heading to Switzerland for the high-end bash.

The Devil Wears Prada star has been seriously impressing on the red carpet of late, donning a striking red Emilio Pucci gown at the Critics' Choice Awards, and a white Michael Kors number at the Globes. 

The party held by the watch brand IWC to celebrate 75 years of the Portuguese at the 25th Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in the Swiss city. 

Also at the event were the likes of celebrated actor Christoph Waltz, and little black dress-clad Victoria's Secret models Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova.

The statuesque beauties played up for the cameras as they posed outside the party, showing off their natural talents for all to see.

Adriana, 33, went for a chic and simple LBD, which nipped in at the waist to accentuate her lithe physique.

It was 30-year-old Karolina who stole the show, though, utterly dazzling in a 1920s-style mid-length straight dress with a sheer bottom.

The glitzy gown fell straight down her Amazonian frame, but still managed to show off her willowy limb and she teamed the retro item with her blonde locks curled into an old-Hollywood style.
