She was arrested for contempt after failing to appear in a New York court and explain why she allegedly threatening to kill the woman she says is stalking her, Jeanine Heller.

And Taryn Manning appears to have kept a low profile as she was pictured for the first time on Friday arriving at LAX over a month since her arrest in November.

The 36-year-old arrived in Los Angeles wearing a massive fur hoodie after hosting a New Year's Eve party in Cincinatti, Ohio. 

Taryn tried to go unnoticed wearing a pair of black Ray Ban sunglasses while covering up her svelte frame in a grey T-shirt and multiple women's outerwear.

She styled her Lalalilo outerwear with dark denim skinny jeans and brown lace-up boots.

The singer added a bit of glamour with a pop of red lipstick.

While the 8 Mile actress was arrested in November she was later given a reprieve, with TMZ reporting the District Attorney declined to prosecute.

Trouble began as, while the two women - who were friends but now have long legal history - had mutual restraining order against each other, the judge found that the actress violated that order by threatening the designer.

When the 36-year-old - who plays Pennsatucky in the hit comedy-drama Orange Is The New Black - did not appear in court, the judge order police arrest her. 

The star was meant to explain accusations that she violated her restraining order 'threatening to kill Jeanine via text and social media'.

According to court documents obtained by the website Taryn sent threatening messages including, 'I will kill you, b***' and 'Go f*** yourself and die'.

She also allegedly told the designer: 'What's taking so long? Shouldn't you be dead by now?' 

Taryn's lawyer has told TMZ that the allegations by her former friend are false and that is why the DA did not take the matter further.

Taryn and Jeanie have been in and out of court this year, with the star's former friend arrested twice for contacting the star.
