She was the co-host so needed to find a dress to impress for a fundraising dinner.

And Kate Hudson certainly did just that as she arrived at exclusive member's club Annabel's in London on Monday night in a stunning backless dress and some towering heels.

The 36-year-old actress joined forces with her mum Goldie Hawn for the Love-In For The Kids' event, the 4th annual Hawn Foundation UK fundraising dinner.

While 69-year-old Goldie chose a colouful boho dress for her big night, her daughter went for the glam factor.

The actress showed off her killer body in the backless design which featured a jewel-encrusted strap up the back. 

And not only was the dress impressive from behind, it also featured a slit up the front, to show off Kate's long legs. 

It's not hard to see what has attracted Dancing With The Stars pro Derek Hough to the beautiful blonde. 

The pair were rumoured to have had a brief romance when she split from fiancé Matt Bellamy last year.

And they certainly looked very cosy outside the U2 gig in Inglewood on Tuesday, when they shared a lingering embrace that certainly looked more than friendly.

Last month, Kate showed up to watch Derek perform on Dancing With The Stars.

The duo formed a close bond when Derek gave Kate dancing lessons last year, and it was claimed that they became more than just friends.

But on Monday night it was all about her mother, as Kate showed up to co-host Goldie's event. 

The foundation aims to bring the MindUp programme, which trains teachers and schools to help children develop the emotional and social skills needed to aid their learning through the Buddhist technique of Mindfulness Training, to schools around the world.

It aims to help children increase their concentration, improve their behaviour and deal with stress.

An introduction to the programme on the foundation's website reads: 'Children today are showing signs of distress. School dropout rates are rising. Distractions abound for children, their teachers, and parents.

'A child’s ability to learn is directly linked to their overall state of well-being and mental health, of primary concern to The Hawn Foundation and Founder, Goldie Hawn who was the visionary behind MindUP.

'Assembling a team of educators, neuroscientists, positive psychologists and experts in mindful awareness training, the academy award winning actress, producer, author, child advocate and philanthropist created the evidence-based MindUP as a social and emotional literacy curriculum and training program.
